Wage Data Analysis for Mediation & Settlement
Brydon Statistics Consulting Group provides rigorous, neutral analysis of payroll and timekeeping data — helping mediators, counsel, and courts value wage claims and demonstrate that a settlement is fair, reasonable, and adequate.
Who We Are
Brydon Statistics Consulting Group, LLC is led by Evan A. Brydon, a data scientist with years of experience analyzing large-scale datasets and translating complex statistical findings into clear, well-documented conclusions.
Evan applies rigorous, transparent statistical methods to payroll and timekeeping data — valuing wage claims, modeling class-wide exposure, and building the per-claimant allocations that ground settlement negotiations.
We provide neutral, well-documented analysis that helps parties reach settlement and gives courts the evidence they need to find a class settlement fair, reasonable, and adequate.
Eight years at Nielsen (2016–2024) as a Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist, working across offices in Menlo Park and San Francisco, CA.
Graduate training spanning machine learning, multivariate statistics, time series analysis, distributed computing, and information visualization.
Undergraduate foundation in econometrics, advanced linear algebra, calculus, game theory, and quantitative methods of analysis.
What We Do
We give mediators, counsel, and courts the rigorous, neutral wage analysis needed to value claims, reach settlement, and secure approval.
Aggregate and per-class-member exposure estimates — computed from payroll and timekeeping data under applicable FLSA or state wage rates — to ground settlement negotiations in defensible numbers.
Analysis of payroll and time records at scale to quantify underpayment, off-the-clock work, or missed meal and rest periods across a class — the empirical basis for a negotiated resolution.
Transparent per-claimant allocation formulas, PAGA and class splits, and distribution plans — so each class member's share is calculated consistently and can be explained to the court.
Clearly written, fully documented statistical analyses and declarations supporting preliminary and final approval — explaining why a settlement is fair, reasonable, and adequate.
How We Work
Every engagement follows a structured workflow built around mediation timelines and the evidentiary standards for settlement approval.
We review the claims, the data available, and the settlement objectives — then provide a frank assessment of what the data can and cannot support statistically.
Payroll, timekeeping, and HR records are processed and analyzed. We quantify exposure, model per-claimant allocations, and document every assumption and methodology step.
A complete, well-documented analysis is drafted — clearly explaining methods, valuation, and allocation in language accessible to the parties and the court.
We support the parties through mediation and the settlement-approval process — answering follow-up questions, addressing supplemental data, and refining allocations as terms take shape.
Case Types
We analyze wage data across the common categories of wage and hour disputes that reach mediation and settlement.
